Red length=r_1 π+r_2 π=(r_1 +r_2 )π  =Rπ=blue length  ⇒β=1

Blue length=πR  Big red semicircle=πr   Small red semicircle=π(R−r)   Red length=πr+π(R−r)                         =πR  β=((Red length)/(Blue length))=((πR)/(πR))=1
