    If X∝A    and X∝B ,  then why X∝AB ??  Give me the Mathematical  Explanation....

X∝A means X and A are proportional,  i.e. (X/A)=k_1 =constant≠0  but X and A are not constant!    In the same way: (X/B)=k_2 =constant≠0    (X/(AB))=(X/((X/k_1 )×(X/k_2 )))=((k_1 k_2 )/X)=((constant)/(no constant))≠constant  ⇒X and AB are not proportional!  i.e. X∝AB is not true!    Example:  A=2X  B=3X  (X/A)=(1/2)⇒X∝A  (X/B)=(1/3)⇒X∝B  but  (X/(AB))=(X/(6X^2 ))=(1/(6X))≠constant  ⇒X not ∝AB!

X∝A⇒X=k_1 A, k_1 ≠0    is the meaning“X∝A” like this??

    If my view is right...  then it should be written as“X^2 ∝AB”.

Well...  if A and B are constants  then,  X∝A⇒∃k_1 ∈constant, X=Ak_1 , k_1 ≠0  X∝B⇒∃k_2 ∈constant, X=Bk_2 , k_2 ≠0  ∴X=Ak_1 =Bk_2   ⇒(X/(AB))=(k_1 /B)=(k_2 /A)∈constant  ⇒X∝AB
