 Let a and b be real numbers such  that  { ((sin a + sin b = ((√2)/2))),((cos a + cos b = ((√6)/2))) :}  Evaluate sin (a+b).

squaring the both equation gives   { ((sin^2 a + 2sin a sin b + sin^2 b = (2/4))),((cos^2 a +2 cos a cos b + cos^2 b = (6/4))) :}  and add the result to obtain   2 + 2 cos (a−b) = 2 → cos (a−b) = 0  Multiplying the two given relation yields  ⇒(sin a + sin b)(cos a+cos b) = ((√3)/2)  ⇒sin acos a + sin acos b+sin bcos a+sin bcos b=((√3)/2)  ⇒sin 2a + sin 2b+2sin (a+b)= (√3)  ⇒2sin (a+b)cos (a−b)+2sin (a+b)=(√3)  ⇒2sin (a+b) { cos (a−b)+1 } = (√3)   ⇒2sin (a+b) { 0+1 } = (√3)  ⇒sin (a+b) = ((√3)/2). ▲

2sin(((a+b)/2))cos(((a−b)/2))=((√2)/2)  2cos(((a+b)/2))cos(((a−b)/2))=((√6)/2)  tan(((a+b)/2))=((√2)/( (√6)))=(1/( (√3)))=tan30^o   a+b=60^o   sin(a+b)=((√3)/2)  Or method  or sin(a+b)=((2t)/(1+t^2 ))  [t=tan((a+b)/2)]  =((2×(1/( (√3))))/(1+((1/( (√3))))^2 ))=((2/( (√3)))/(4/3))=((2×3)/(4×(√3)))=((√3)/2)
