x^2 −x+1=0 ⇒ x^2 =x−1  ⇒x^3 =x^2 −x=x−1−x=−1  ⇒x^6 =(x^3 )^2 =(−1)^2 =1  ⇒x^7 =x  x^2 −x+1=0 ⇒ x=((1±(√(1−4)))/2)  x=(1/2)±((√3)/2)i= { ((cos(π/3)+isin(π/3)=e^((π/3)i) )),((cos(−(π/3))+isin(−(π/3))=e^(−(π/3)i) )) :}  x^7 +(1/x^7 )=e^((π/3)i) +e^(−(π/3)i) =2cos(π/3)=1

Since x^2 =x−1, multiplying both sides by “x” we get  x^3 =(x−1)x which is equal to x^2 −x. Here we replace  x^2  by x−1 again and we obtain (x−1)−x. Which  implies x^3 =x−1−x.

x^2 −x+1=0⇒x=((1±i(√3))/2)=e^(±((iπ)/3))   x^7 +(1/x^7 )=e^((7iπ)/3) +e^(−((7iπ)/3)) =e^((iπ)/3) +e^((−iπ)/3) =2cos(π/3)=1

$${x}^{\mathrm{2}} −{x}+\mathrm{1}=\mathrm{0}\Rightarrow{x}=\frac{\mathrm{1}\pm{i}\sqrt{\mathrm{3}}}{\mathrm{2}}={e}^{\pm\frac{{i}\pi}{\mathrm{3}}} \\ $$$${x}^{\mathrm{7}} +\frac{\mathrm{1}}{{x}^{\mathrm{7}} }={e}^{\frac{\mathrm{7}{i}\pi}{\mathrm{3}}} +{e}^{−\frac{\mathrm{7}{i}\pi}{\mathrm{3}}} ={e}^{\frac{{i}\pi}{\mathrm{3}}} +{e}^{\frac{−{i}\pi}{\mathrm{3}}} =\mathrm{2}{cos}\frac{\pi}{\mathrm{3}}=\mathrm{1} \\ $$
