 let ∣a^→ ∣ = ∣b^→ ∣ = 1 ; also ∣ a^→ +b^→ ∣ = 1    we want to compute ∣a^→ −b^→  ∣ .  by using equality (x+y)^2 +(x−y)^2 =2(x^2 +y^2 )  ⇔ ∣a^→ +b^→ ∣^2 +∣a^→ −b^→ ∣^2 = 2(∣a^→ ∣^2 +∣b^→ ∣^2 )  ⇔ 1+ ∣a^→ −b^→ ∣^2 =2(1+1)   ⇔ ∣a^→ −b^→ ∣ = (√3) .

∣a∣=∣b∣=1  ∣a+b∣=1  ⇒∣a−b∣=(√3)

$$\mid{a}\mid=\mid{b}\mid=\mathrm{1} \\ $$$$\mid{a}+{b}\mid=\mathrm{1} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\mid{a}−{b}\mid=\sqrt{\mathrm{3}} \\ $$
