The question is wrong. It should be z=e^(−x) (ycos x+xsin y) see Q13544.

z=e^(−x) (ycos x+xsin y)  (∂z/∂x)=e^(−x) (−ysin x+sin y)−e^(−x) (ycos x+xsin y)  =e^(−x) (−xsin y+sin y+ycos x−ysin x)  (∂^2 z/∂x^2 )=e^(−x) (−sin y−sin x−cos x)              −e^(−x) (−xsin y+sin y+ycos x−ysin x)  =e^(−x) (sin y−sin x−cos x+xsin y−sin y+ysin x−ycos x)  =e^(−x) (−sin x−cos x+xsin y+ysin x−ycos x)  (∂z/∂y)=e^(−x) (cos x+xcos y)  (∂^2 z/∂y^2 )=−xe^(−x) sin y  I think question is not correct.
