If W varies jointly as L and the  square of R. Find the percentage  change in W if L increases by 20%  and R increases by 50%.  If W=15 when H=3 and R=2(1/3). find   W when H=1 and R=10.  Find also W interms  of H and R.

w=klr^2   w′=k(1.2l)(1.5r)^2 =1.2×2.25krl^2 =2.7w  ((w′)/w)×100=270%  assuming 2(1/3)=(7/3)  15=k3((7/3))^2 =k((49)/3)→k=((45)/(49))  W=((45)/(49))×1×10^2 =((4500)/(49))=91.8367...
