If a group consist of 8 men and 6 women,  in how many ways can a committee of  5 be selected if:        i) the committee is to consist of 3 men  and 3 women.        ii) there are no restrictions on the   number of men and women on the  committee.         iii) at least one man

i)  C_3 ^8 ×C_3 ^6 =1120 ways  ii)  C_6 ^(14) =3003 ways  iii)  C_6 ^(14) −C_6 ^8 −C_1 ^6 C_5 ^8 =2639 ways

you said  i) the committee is to consist of 3 men  and 3 women.  so i assumed that the committee  consists of 6 people.

you said  iii) at least one man  which doesn′t mean at least one of  each sex.
