5 ) ∫ ((tan^2 x − 1)/(sec^2 x)) dx  = ∫  ((sec^2 x − 2)/(sec^2 x)) dx    = x − ∫ ( 1 + cos2x ) dx= x − x − (1/2) sin2x + c     = − sinx cosx + c     ⊛ M

2) ∫ cos^2 x dx = ∫ (1/2) ( 1 + cos2x) dx   = (1/2)x + (1/2)sinx cosx + c    ⊛M

3 ) ∫ tan^3 x . sec^5 x dx = ∫ tan x sec x tan^2 x sec^4 x dx    = ∫ (sec^2 x − 1 ). sec^( 4) x . sec x . tan x     = ∫ ( sec^6 x −sec^4 x ) d (sec x )    = (1/7) sec^7 x − (1/5) sec^5 x + c    ⊛ M

4 ) ∫ cos 5x . cos 3x dx = (1/2) ∫ (cos 8x + cos 2x )dx    = (1/(16)) sin8x + (1/4) sin2x + c    □ M

1 ) ∫  sin^5 x dx = ∫ ( sin^2 x )^2  sin x dx     = ∫ ( 1 − cos^2 x )^2  sin x dx    =  ∫ ( 1 − 2 cos^2 x + cos^4 x ) sin x dx    = ∫ ( sinx − 2 sin x cos^2 x + sin x cos^4 x ) dx    = − cos x + (2/3) cos^3 x − (1/5) cos^5 x + c    ⊕ M
