16/4(2+2)=?

2 Conventions:  (i)implied multiplication has priority         over division:  16/4(2+2)=16/4(4)=16/16=1  (ii) Division has priority over implied  multiplication:  16/4(2+2)=4(4)=16  Modern calculator requires option  in Setting what convention do you  follow.
