(16a)        5 painters will spend less hours  ∴         1 painter   =  2 × 6  =  12 hrs  ∴               5 painters    =   ((12)/5) hrs

(16c)                 πR^2  : πr^2   =  16 : 9                     R^2  : r^2   =  16 : 9                     R^2  : r^2   =  4^2  : 3^2                      R : r  =  4 : 3                     24 : r  =  4 : 3  ∴        ((24)/r)  =  (4/3)  ∴             4r  =  72  ∴                  r  =  ((72)/4)  ∴                  r  =  18cm
