Total sample space s(n)=C_3 ^(100) Number of favourable cases common ratio 1^(st) term ranges No. of cases from to 2 1 to 25 25 3 1 to 11 11 4 1 to 6 6 5 1 to 4 4 6 1 to 2 2 7 1 to 2 2 8 1 to 1 1 9 1 to 1 1 10 1 to 1 1 ∴ n(A)= 53 ∴ The required probability P(A) = ((53)/C_3 ^(100) ) = ((53×6)/(100×99×98)) = ((53)/(161700))
