find shaded area region

$$\mathrm{find}\:\mathrm{shaded}\:\mathrm{area}\:\mathrm{region} \\ $$

Answered by bobhans last updated on 10/Jun/20

shaded Area region = (1/2)π (3(√2))^2 −((1/4)π(36)−18)  = ((18π)/2) − ((18π)/2) + 18 = 18.

$$\mathrm{shaded}\:\mathrm{Area}\:\mathrm{region}\:=\:\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}\pi\:\left(\mathrm{3}\sqrt{\mathrm{2}}\right)^{\mathrm{2}} −\left(\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{4}}\pi\left(\mathrm{36}\right)−\mathrm{18}\right) \\ $$$$=\:\frac{\mathrm{18}\pi}{\mathrm{2}}\:−\:\frac{\mathrm{18}\pi}{\mathrm{2}}\:+\:\mathrm{18}\:=\:\mathrm{18}. \\ $$
