litres are dm^3 =(0.1m)^3 =0.001m^3 and metres are SI... it is easier to use litres than 0.001m^3 in chemistry I think

$$\mathrm{litres}\:\mathrm{are}\:\mathrm{dm}^{\mathrm{3}} =\left(\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{1m}\right)^{\mathrm{3}} =\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{001m}^{\mathrm{3}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{and}\:\mathrm{metres}\:\mathrm{are}\:\mathrm{SI}...\:\mathrm{it}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{easier}\:\mathrm{to}\:\mathrm{use}\:\mathrm{litres} \\ $$$$\mathrm{than}\:\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{001m}^{\mathrm{3}} \:\mathrm{in}\:\mathrm{chemistry}\:\mathrm{I}\:\mathrm{think} \\ $$
