Solve:  find the distance of the point P(3,4) from the line y=−2x+3

Besides I really think you should not post questions or answers or comments in single lines here′s the general answer to your question; just insert the values. In R^2  the distance between a given line l: ax+by+c=0 and a given point P=(p, q) is ∣lP∣=((∣ap+bq+c∣)/( (√(a^2 +b^2 )))).
